In terms of the diabetes, please make sure you get a referral to a hospital diabetes team as you are entitled, as part of this you will get to see a diabetes specialist nurse.Do you know what insulin they are going to treat you with?I have had type 1 since I was 13, so any advice you might need I am happy to help. (Obviously I can’t provide specific medical advice though).

Hi there
I'm sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis but at least you can be treated appropriately now for your conditions
Type 1 diabetes is a surprise as it 8s normally type 2 that occurs in adults in more cases but either way it is hard to come to terms with new conditions and managing them
We have lots members with these conditions who will be here to support you -
