    Hi,
There's "family fund" that give grants to families of disabled children. You need to be claiming certain means tested benefits for this, full details here. https://www.familyfund.org.uk/FAQs/are-we-eligible-to-apply
There's more information here for grants. https://www.disability-grants.org/grants-for-children.html
You can also try googling your local area to see what's available. Hope this helps.

    Hello @Amyknott

Wishing you a warm welcome, I hope you are well today.

Have you discussed with your daughter's doctor about an OT review? That could help to get certain mobility aids for her. The NHS website has this information:

"You can get occupational therapy free through the NHS or social services, depending on your situation.

    You can:

Alternatively, you could look to buy one second hand through a platform like Facebook, and Scope have a help page here that provides signposts to places where you might be able to get used equipment for disabled people.

hey! I have a 5 year old and they are hard work. My daughter has ADHD and isn't great on her feet. shouldn't you get it free from a referral from your GP due to the circumstances?

Hi, definitely speak to your doctor regarding getting an ot referral and see also what aids and adaptions she will around your property if you are thinking about her safety. Do you live in a house with stairs? are there any times when she will be unsupervised such as if you are on the phone, cooking dinner all these questions will need to be answered. Social services may have to be involved to see how they can assist in terms of individual budgets and longer term planning, emergency planning, respite care.

You are welcome to message me further and we can discuss as I’m student who studying in this area and would be find information for you, check eligibility, and check my books for anything that you may need.
