@cllnsnmrtn1 Hi, I have chronic pain too so I completely understand the way it grinds you down.
Have you spoken to your GP or other health professional recently? If not it might be worth a chat with them. Some areas of the country have pain specialist centers that they may be able to refer you to or they can review your current meds if you are on any just to check they are the correct ones and/or doses.
It's not easy suffering with pain everyday especially for 30 years, it's also not easy to admit the impact it has on you so you've made a massive step forward there.
Welcome to the forum, i'm sure there will be people on here who have suffered long term too that may have coping strategies or be able to offer support.
    Thanks,
    Daniel

Welcome to the community @cllnsnmrtn1 :) It's great to have you with us.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been struggling with your chronic pain. As Daniel_2021 has said, you're certainly not alone in feeling the way you do. We have plenty of members who live with long-term pain, and have struggled to manage at times. I've moved your post into our category for discussions around dealing with chronic pain so that you can connect with other members in a similar position more easily. I'd encourage you to take a browse through this category, too.

I'd also echo what Daniel_2021 has said around speaking to your GP and seeing if there are any other options available to help you manage the pain a little better.

It sounds as though this has all been taking a toll on your mental health, too. Do you receive any support for your mental health at all? Is that something you think could help?

Do you have a good support network around you? Leaning on friends and family for support can be difficult, but it can help to get things off of your chest in-person.

I hope that the community can be a good source of support for you :)
