I've had upper back pain for years, no diagnosis. Multiple xrays have uncovered nothing of note that I've been told. Recently I'm having badower back pain and intermittent pain and numbness in my legs and feet. Physical therapy hasn't helped and Mt Recent back specialist said oh your fine it'll just come and go, you'll have good days and bad days. Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome to the community

Have you considered consulting a chiropractor the best thing I ever did when I had back issues

    HI and welcome,

Unfortunately, we are not medically trained and will be unable to give you any medical advice.
It maybe that you'll need to find something that works for you to make you're life as comfortable and pain free as possible. Sorry i don't have any specific answers for you but wanted to welcome you.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Welcome to the community @dldad86 :) I'm sorry to hear about the pain you've been experiencing, and that you haven't been able to find a solution to help you manage this pain yet.

As poppy123456 has said, we're not able to give medical advice. That being said, I appreciate you're looking to hear from people who've had a similar experience, which is fine. I've moved your post into our 'dealing with chronic pain' category so that other members can find it more easily.

Have you been referred to a pain management clinic? Have you tried any medication, or a different kind of physical therapy?

    Hi,
Have you had an MRI scan? That will show if there is anything inpacting your nerves, facet joints etc.
X-rays don't give that kind of detail and you mention that phsyio hasn't helped much. Whilst I agree pain management will help you also need to find the route cause if possible. Not all NHS trusts will refer you for an MRI straight away so you may need to persist.
I'm not saying that this will diagnose anything however it gives more detail than an xray.
    Thanks,
    Daniel
