Happy Halloween!

Today is Halloween and also the morning after the clocks went back, so I hope you all remembered! I certainly didn't because all my devices do it automatically, I was only reminded of it when it seemed abnormally light outside compared to the same time yesterday morning.

Anyway, I thought we could have a bit of spooky fun and chat all things halloween!

  • Imagine there's a virtual party, or that you're going trick or treating, what will you dress up as?
  • What is your Halloween themed drink or food of choice?
  • Do you have any cherished memories of Halloween?
  • What is your favourite spooky movie or TV show?
Oh and I'd love to hear any stories of the massive amount of sweets you or any of your children got while out trick or treating, and if any of you have kids who are going tonight.

For me, I'd probably dress up as Count Dracula. I was originally planning to go to a friend's Halloween party and was intending on dressing up as that character, but I've had to put that plan on hold until next year.

As a child, one of my favourite Halloween memories was dressing up as Harry Potter and going trick or treating. Me and my brother had ventured out into the local woods to find a short stick that we could use as a wand, and I subsequently painted mine black to complete the HP look. Not the most scary of characters, but I was very warm in the robe I had.

If I was to ever dress up my favourite charactor ever is the Joker out of batman, so I would do a full costume based on him (The comic book version). But I hate socialising and parties and don't go out so I don't need to dress up.

I do love halloween however especially the history and spiritual side as my family are part pagen/druid. I also have to always watch my favourite halloween film ever today which is Hocus Pocus, so I'll watch that later today.

The Joker is a good one @rubin16, I once dressed as him for a convention and it was great fun. You'd have to master the sinister laughter :)

    Hope you enjoy the film!

I'd love to dress up as a zombie....

One of the funniest Halloween pranks I saw was a man who had unfortunately lost both his legs but not his sense of humour.

He'd made himself as a zombie and crawled out of dark corners ..bits of raw meat where his legs would have been and scared the poop out of his victims.

I’d dress as Vlad the impaler, or Rasputin if I could get a longer beard.
The drink, well it should be a Bloody Mary surely?

Listen...I can hear the children of the night calling me! Spooky or whot. ?

I absolutely love halloween, i believe its a great season for the kids and kids at heart, with a background in makeup fx and prop making for film tv and theatre   i've been involved in many costumes over the years, Heres a few of my favourites, first up my Son Lucas loved the predator character, so i made him a full predator costume from scratch, took a couple of months work but he helped and loved the finished suit, he was 6 at the time, hes 20 now, so a good while ago

around that time we were invited to a fancy dress party, we decided we would go as Shrek and Fiona

    heres my wife as fiona

i've also done the front of the house up for a few halloweens

an 18 foot across mutant spider i made from recycled materials one year

then the next year we had a mutant fly on the roof

I have done a few makeup jobs on my good friend, he loves dressing up, here he is as a zombie

So there you go, i'm not able to do to much at the moment, i do still make stuff but only occasionally
