How can a telephone PIP assessor come to the decision that you are not suffering with fatigue or depressed as are able to discuss your condition calmly and eloquently and showed a level of intellect not typical of fatigue and depression?  And also because I work i have motivation and a level of concentration to do my job?? I explained i work from home full time for the oast 3 years,  have adaptions such as specialist desk etc and dictate software  to help me do my job but despite this i  still have been  sick 7 months out of 12, on sickness monitoring at work and also unperformimg as i can't focus.   I sent proof of all this from my Occ Health advisor but it fell on deaf ears. I was awarded the standard rate PIP which I am grateful for but know I should have scored higher which would have been the enhanced rate.  I am going to ask for an.MR but how do I prove I have fatigue etc which impacts my life based on the assessor comments   She also lied and missed vital info from the report.

When you have the assessment, it's not there for them to write word for word what you said. It's for them to gather more evidence to support your claim. They then write the report based on their opinion of everything you sent, which includes the form, extra evidence you sent and what you said during the assessment.
The telephone assessments gave been very succesful. It does help to have some understanding of the PIP descriptors and what they mean. Are you 100% sure you can score more points for Enhanced award? Have a read of this. https://pipinfo.net/
When applying for PIP what you should do is give a couple or real world examples of what happened the last time you attempted that activity for each descriptor that applies to you. Include information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.

I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi @Dogsmammy - & welcome to the community.

As far as PIP goes, it's not about any diagnosis, but rather how your disability affects certain activities of daily living &/mobility. Have a look at the activities/descriptors that are looked at with PIP:

    https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/asset-library/Personal-Independence-Payment-Descriptors-and-Scores-April-2021.pdf

With your MR, give a couple of detailed examples as to the difficulty you face for each applicable descriptor, i.e. what exactly happens, when did it happen, did anyone witness this, & were there any consequences, i.e. how did it leave you feeling after attempting/doing an activity, fatigued/exhausted for example?

Can you do an activity 'reliably,' i.e. safely, to an acceptable standard, repeat it as often as one would reasonably expect, or does it take you much longer than someone without a disability? See this mentioned at the end of the link above.

This is how you can show how something like fatigue affects your daily life, & your evidence is the most important thing. Yes, there are often 'inaccuracies' in assessor's reports, but you need to forget that for now, & concentrate on those descriptors where you feel you should have gained some points. Put your MR, in writing ensuring you put your name & National Insurance number on each page. Please come back with any questions.

thank you for your replies.  I explained to her that I haven't been able to drive the past year and she purvon the report I drive   I told her I only leave the house to go to appointments and thats only if my husband is with me, she put that I go out alone frequently.  I will focus on the descriptors and explain and evidence as best I can. I am just annoyed about the amount of discrepancies in the report.

It happens but concentrating on the report will not score you anymore points so you should put it to one side and forget about it.
