I suffer from severe agoraphobia and the only place I can venture is to my GP in my friends car only as it is familiar. I suffer from a range of mental health disorders Severe PTSD to the state I hallucinate sometimes revisiting scenes and and hurtful places and experiences.
I require the covid jab and have not been able to due to my friends car not being available. My GP surgery has always been helpful and aware any support or therapy has always been in the home.
It has recently been took over by a new GP who refused me a home visit for covid jab.
My friend has 2 children with autism and covid have changed everyone's situation.
Her sister is staying with her for 3 weeks so its opened a window with her being able to take me to GP surgery and escort me.
The HCA and head receptionist of practice has explained how severe my situation is and explained this to NEW head GP. Also I have been in contact with practice lately and referred to crisis team as I have a history of suicide and self harm. Had a lot of dark thoughts lately. I am also severe asthmatic. I have lost 2 stone in weight.
Any advice I seek is contact my gp. My 2 friends who care for me have vulnerabilities themselves and this may impact if i need support services in home and am not vacinated
My GP surgery is not doing covid jab any more only boosters. Please someone advise me what i can do

Off the top of my head the only suggestion I have would be to contact 111 and see what they can offer?2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

Are there any medical centres near you that are doing Covid jabs? Just wondered if they might be able to offer you a home visit instead of the GP. I wasn't aware that initial Covid jabs had been stopped yet so maybe your GP just doesn't have enough demand to order them in now?
I'm agoraphobic myself so I know how frustrating it is when everyone you ask for advice just tells you to go the GP!
