Hi. After many years on Gliclazide pills and Liraglutide "Victoza" injection my blood sugar levels are still too high. I'm now being started on insulin in addition to the other two. Does this mean that I'm now Type 1and who do I need to notify?
Has anyone else been in this position and how has it affected you?

Hi there
First of all no it doesn't mean you are now type 1 you are still type 2 but termed insulin dependant
I am the same I went onto insulin years ago for type 2 and find it much easier to control now though it does take time to get used to injecting and correct dose
You should inform dvla if you drive and also your car insurance company
You should see a diabetic nurse to help you get your control -
Have you heard of the Keto diet? I was able to put my type 2 into remission, when I did.
