Requested pip assessment notes shocked

My assessor said I can walk well over 200m without problems despite it being a telephone assessment and having a blue badge issued recently with left leg nerve damage, leg brace for foot drop and specialists report saying this, she said I had normal power in legs as I have a driving licence and drove but I use a auto car for emergency usage maybe twice a month driving for 5 minutes.DuffersMum said:
Very true..I was only awarded standard mobility after my first assessment because I could drive a car, despite it being painful to do so but they don’t care about that...some of these assessors are not fit for purpose...mine said I could walk fine because I’m swapped my walking stick between hands...which is what my physio told me do if there was a railing on the side I usually hold my stick in...she also said I arrived carrying my handbag, notes and a bottle of water....my bottle of water was in my handbag which my husband was carrying for me...OverlyAnxious said:Being able to drive is one you'll see quite often in a PIP refusal. It's because it takes a certain amount of mental & physical ability, so they use that basis to make wide ranging assumptions in relation to the other tasks... Sadly, it's not that simple in real life of course.
I have a friend who was once a nurse and made the mistake of becoming an assessor...she lasted a matter of weeks saying..in her words “I wasn’t prepared to bend the truth or lie on the assessment reports”

So in my application I did say I use crutches also and due to extreme pain in legs I can only manage up to 50m due to risk of severe pain and gave an example of the last time I tried further and it was still ignored by the so-called HCP despite several physio and neuro professional reports.Username_removed said:Why do we think a telephone assessment does not allow a HCP to draw a conclusion about the distance walked reliably? The role involves no measuring of distance visually. It requires the assessment of verbal and written evidence.I’m not saying that the inference drawn above was correct but it’s certainly one legitimately open to a HCP. A blue badge and leg brace tell a HCP nothing more than you have an issue. They say nothing about the extent of it.
The PIP application process asks for medical evidence but then ignores any reports you care to send.

Blue badges in my area are only issued without assessment for enhanced mobility/DLA usually and I was issued without assessment by council but it seems now I no longer need the blue badge by the DWP!.0

Medical evidence is only useful if it states exactly how your conditions affect you. Most doesn't and only states the basic information. When you gave an example of the last time you tried walking further, did you explain in detail where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were?

The HCP’s aren’t very professional at all, I stated in my Pip form my day to day difficulties, And sent evidence from my Autism diagnosis which said the same, But she just ignored it, Hopefully the Decision maker will rule against my assessment.postmanpat68 said:Blue badges in my area are only issued without assessment for enhanced mobility/DLA usually and I was issued without assessment by council but it seems now I no longer need the blue badge by the DWP!.0 -
I used all the helpful techniques to write a detailed example but they still came up with zero for everything, I also have PTSD recently diagnosed but in the report it said as when I had a confrontation I get 0 points because the police were not involved?.poppy123456 said:Medical evidence is only useful if it states exactly how your conditions affect you. I take a high does of anxiety medication but the report says I don't take anything for anxiety despite a copy of prescription, it seemed no-one looked at my evidence.0 -
Same for me, just doing my MR this weekend and onto my 3rd sheet of A4.leeh098 said:

Recent reports suggest there are overtured MR's of around 14,000 every month.
Let's hope ours are on of those.1 -
You’re not the only one to receive a bad assessment , I did recently too scored 0, but she missed out numerous things what was said on the phone, There still is abit of hope, Decision makers don’t always go with the Assessment report, It’s rare but it can happen, Just got to be hopeful the DM reads the PIP form and Evidence properly.postmanpat68 said:

Ohh I haven’t received my DM decision yet, How long did it take for you to get a decision? I’m guessing they’ll go with the HCP report for me too then.postmanpat68 said:
