What's the point in having fit notes if my work coach says I still have to attend appointments?

Hi all, I'm new to this.  I have a fit note for depression and anxiety.  My work coach says it doesn't stop me having to attend appointments and groups and my other commitments.  What is the point in submitting the note?

    Hi and welcome to the community 

    Have you reported the medical condition on your journal? 

    Until you have gone through the work capability process eg complete the uc50 form and have an assessment and a decision you still need to satisfy your work commitments 

    However your work coach can switch them off till the decision is made you must also provide continuous fit note

    Hi,
    I'm assuming you're claiming Universal Credit, if so then when you claim this you are a job seeker until a decision on your work capability assessment says otherwise.
    Some work coaches will turn off commitments, some reduce them and some will expect you to attend appointments etc, it's entirely at the work coaches discretion. You can request a different work coach but it may not help.

    You've mentioned having anxiety and depression. Are you receiving enough support to help you manage those conditions at the moment?
