Ok so I get pip.. my ex was my carer...I now live mostly alone...and I am struggling with some of criteria that they over looked when I had assessment done back last year...do I need to inform them of the circumstances that's now in play?

Hi @Taliesen - you don't need to inform the DWP of a change of circumstances unless, with your needs changing, this may mean you would get sufficient points to change your award. These would need to be bearing in mind the actual activities/descriptors that are relevant with PIP.
Your whole award would be looked at again, & there's the danger of potentially losing all/part of your current award. Therefore you should seek some local advice from a Welfare Rights Office or Citizens Advice before contemplating this. Have a look here to search for such local advice. See: https://advicelocal.uk/    choosing Welfare benefits from the drop down menu.

You're very welcome. It may also help you to identify where you need help/support/have difficulties if you have a look at the following link which relates to mental health & the PIP descriptors, if you haven't seen it before. Hi @Taliesen

I hope you are getting on okay?

Fingers crossed the above responses have been helpful, and I hope the appointment on 1 December goes well.
