Hi, are there any grants available to help with adaptations for cars? My son doesnt get mobility but need adaptions on his car for a left foot accelerator. Thank you

Hi @6nuggets thanks for reaching out, and welcome. That's a very good question. I have a left foot accelerator myself, but I was lucky enough to get it via Motability. I can certainly see if I can find out!

Thank you. Unfortunately he doesn’t qualify for mobility but the adaptions are costing a small fortune

Yes, they are not cheap sadly!

Is your son in work? He might be able to get some help through Access to Work, as long as he can evidence clearly that the ability to drive (safely!) is essential to his work. There's more information at the bottom of this page: https://www.motaclarity.co.uk/charitable-grants
