Confidence and Socialisation

Does anyone struggle with making friends and maintaining  friendships? Please share any experiences if you want to.

    I think many people can relate to the feeling of struggling to form and maintain friendships @fahmida45. I know I can sometimes find this difficult, particularly making friends. 

    Do you think there's something in particular that makes it difficult for you to make and maintain friendships (if this is something you struggle with)?

    I struggle with making friends because I don’t go out to social activities and pubs and such and so don’t meet many new people, and even when I do meet new people I am too scared to say anything!

    I also struggle with maintaining friendships because I struggle to do any social activities with friends. Plus, a lot of the time I like to be left alone, which doesn’t lend itself to being a great friend!!

    me and you both. i do have pals but they are not kids anymore and have lifes, they arnt disabled so are able to goto work and do social stuff. iv lost my best friend he never rings or nothing these days. i cant be arsed to run around chasing people i dont live miles away but i also keep away from my friends for reasons such as they might have bits of trouble and if i was around i could end up getting hurt or some do drugs and dont want to be having a dabble myself so stay at home playing the xbox.

    plus right now the world is a dark place so im happy staying indoors

    I find it hard to social meet up with my friends because of the distance of where my friends live. I made friends since I return to my local creative writing class, I really struggling to make friends because since covid 19 hit. I have truly lost my confidence in going out and did feel like going out  as feel scared.

    sometimes in the game, not friends tho the community on some xbox games are toxic
