Is This Gout Getting Worse Leading To Arthritis

I am unfortunately getting older.
For the last ten years or so have been getting fairly regular bouts of Gout.
This is on par as painful as having my leg stretched when I was a child.
But these attacks are getting more disabling as I get older.
When I have an attack I am literally paralysed. I cannot walk due to the intense pain.
On occasions when the above, I cannot even hold a fork, it affects my hands. This means I cannot cook for myself.
When this happens I ultimately lose weight.
Is this a common sign of Arthritis?
Also...
My body aches at times so much I cannot leave the house.  My muscles are so tight and achy. I am confined to my bed.
I use a U Bottle and bucket, and this is constantly in my bedroom as well as a 6 pint plastic water carrier.

I am on Allopurinol daily. And this is a God send. But as I am getting older it is less effective.
When I am not crippled with the above I get about using a Adult Kick  Scooter.
This helps with the muscle pain and also keeps my joints fairly lubricated.

Is this stiffness and aching a common problem from Arthritis?
Thank you Folks...

    Hi there

Sorry you are suffering so much

As you know we are not medical professionals here and as such unable to give any advice

You should discuss with your gp in the first instance

As mentioned above, you should discuss this with your GP, especially as the pain is worsening. Gout is actually a form of arthritis, which may explain the stiffness & aching you are experiencing, but where possible you should still try & exercise. Please see: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/gout/
Hoping your GP will be able to help.
