Hi @jascof
Thanks for posting, the virtual coffee lounge (in which you have posted this) is a general category that we have on the community, where we post about news, games and other interesting topics.
Our members are based all around the country so we can't be sure if there is anybody from your local area, but the online community is available 24 hours each day so you are more than welcome to post and get involved whenever you'd like.Online Community CoordinatorConcerned about another member's safety or wellbeing? @jascof hey 👋
-
hey back
-
Hi. Where are you based? I am in Merseyside.
-
Hi down south,Oxfordshire
-
How do you find living in Oxfordshire @jascof? I used to live down south, but migrated up north a few years ago
Do you have any particular interests or hobbies? -
hey,i was born up north lol, been here since i was 3 apart from 6 years in Spain, its ok but lot of time on my own in quiet village, dont really party etc anymore so just home and with dogs
-
miss chatting to females of my own age for sure,it is quiet a old persons village lol
-
Ooh lovely, what were you doing over in Spain @jascof?
I'm very jealous that you have dogs, too! What breed are they? Dog pictures are also always welcome here on the community (though there's no pressure to of course!)
I can imagine it could be difficult to speak to people your own age when living in a quiet village. Are you looking to date? -
-
went to live there with ex partner but illness forced me back, and could not live there with no income etc ,,,dating hard as dont really go out much but thats life lol
-
They're adorable @jascof! Beautiful scenery, too
Ahh I see. Yes, not getting out much can certainly be a barrier. Have you considered online dating at all? Or joining any social groups or clubs? Perhaps there's a group local to you for people who walk their dogs together? -
Noooo to online ,its a minefield, maybe just find some chat and similar I terests here
-
It can indeed be a minefield @jascof! I met my current partner through a dating app, but I understand not everyone is as fortunate.
You're definitely welcome to chat to people and discover common interests here on the community Do you watch a lot of TV? We often chat about recent TV shows, especially crime dramas, here in the coffee lounge. -
yesi have been reading a lot in the discussions etc,tv etc doesnt bother me to much unless football haha
-
Have you seen the weekly football competition that we run @jascof? Perhaps that'd be something you'd be interested in taking part in?
-
no i have not seen, what discussion is it under please
