Hi I returned a UC 50 form at the end of Nov ‘21, anybody any idea how long until I hear something?
Also if I need to appeal do I get 30 days to do that?
Thanks

There are huge backlogs for work capability assessments and there's no timescales really. Some wait several months, some wait less, other wait longer. Most have telephone assessments, some have face to face.Once a decision's been made, if you're not happy you get 1 month to request the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) which is the first step to appeal. With good reason you actually get 13 months.1

Thank you Poppy for your reply .. I have a very empathetic work coach who seems to understand my situation .. I fear the worst that I may be declared fit for work, she is supportive of my intention to appeal.. I’m just curious to how long before this procedure will come to a conclusion.. but I guess “how long is a piece of string “ applies0

They have had mine since August and I haven't had a call yet. It is a long haul.0
