LWCA since Sept 2021, claim back dated to September or does it start January?

hello hello I’ve been awarded lwca since sept 2021. Can anyone help me with this question please is the claim back dated to September or does it start January please works and pensions are giving me different answers . Many thanks

    Hi,
    It's not paid at all for the first full 3 assessment periods and then it's paid from the 4th month of your claim. When it starts from will depend on what date you reported your health condition and the dates of your assessment periods (or when you usually recieve your payment each month)
    The above is assuming you're not claiming UC with a partner that already has the LCWRA element on your claim.
