Will my claim stop until MR decision is made? Is there a form I should fill out?

hello i have heard from my friend that this forum is very helpful so id like to thank you in advance. Ive had my pip assessment couple of weeks ago ive got my report over the weekend after reading that my total points are coming upto 8 which i believe gives me standard rate. must of my score is due to my back pain but i also suffer from mental health problem which restricts me from cooking at all as my medication makes drowsy and confused. The assessor wrote all this down but said i can cook and i lost out on 8 points. i will be putting an Mandatory reconsideration my question is if i do that will my claim stop until a decision is made? Is there a form i have to fill in stating why i disagree or can i send a letter myself telling them why i disagree. can i highlight that assessor did acknowledge that but didn't score it accordingly

    The report is a one piece of evidence for the Decision Maker to consider. You need to wait for the decision before you can do an MR. If you are given an award it will continue while the MR is being considered.

    When you do the MR you can do it by letter or use this form

    Are you saying you think you should have scored the full 8 points for preparing food? If this is correct may i ask why you think you should have scored this amount of points for 1 activity?

    Because I take setraline and codine painkillers its hard for me to concentrate. I used to cook but i usednto forget about the cooking or was too fatigued to go and check. Since my assessment my dosage of medication has increased and I did finally get to courage to cook but somehow cut my finger. All I remember is my mind going blank then I see blood coming out of my fingers. My partner cooks now

    How do you know so much about PIP? Did you used to work for them or something? You seem to know the answer to every question on here.

    My own experience, extensive research and learning from others with more knowledge then me over the years.
    No, never worked for them and never intend to. Not sure why this would indicate i've worked for them because a lot of the time those working for DWP have very little knowledge.
