Do you mean they get UC (with LCWRA) and PIP? If so then their benefits are not affected if you claim CA.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Yes they do get UC with LCWRA and PIP, but I also claim UC so if I were to include the carers element of UC in my award would it effect their benefits?
-
No, they will not be affected.
You do not need to claim Carer’s Allowance to get the carer element.
Note that if you get the LCWRA element yourself you cannot get the carer element as well.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK. -
If my carer claimed uc with care element, would my ur lcwra pip housing benefit and council tax reduction be affected?

How much would my carer get if on uc with carer element and CA ?

If your carer doesn’t already claim UC then whether they’re entitled to it will depend on their circumstances. If they live with a partner they claim as a couple. They should use a benefits calculator to check entitlement.Claire01 said:If my carer claimed uc with care element, would my ur lcwra pip housing benefit and council tax reduction be affected?I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I answered your question on this thread here. https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/88100/carers-allowance-and-lcwra#latest it's not helpful to ask the same questions on multiple threads because it makes advising very confusing.
