hi, I applied for pip on the recommendation of my gp. I have osteoarthritis which has now spread from my knees into my thighs and groin. I’ve previously had a partial knee replacement and will have to undergo a full replacement on my left knee. Im on the waiting list of 16months. This is now affecting me everyday and is extremely painful. Im struggling to walk even 150metres without being in pain.I started my claim on the 3rd Nov 2021, Ive just had my phone assessment on the 23rd Feb 2022. However I called them today being March 8th 2022 and they told me decision hasn’t been made and that they only received my written report on the 1st March 2022.
Does this mean I won’t get get anything? I’m feeling so anxious with this waiting and the unknown.
Thank you everyone for listening.

It doesn’t mean anything other than a decision hasn’t been made yet. Sometimes the report isn’t returned the same day but it doesn’t mean anything other than that. Decision waiting times are anything between 2-12 weeks so it could be a while yet.
If awarded successfully then money usually goes into the bank before the decision letter is received. To be honest your timescale so far has been extremely quick. A lot of members here are still waiting for an assessment several months after claiming.0 -
Good morning everyone. thank you poppy. Your advise is reassuring. Thanks again. I guess it’s just a waiting game now, it’s definitely making me even more anxious. Have a good day everyone.0
