Mike has stated many times that he doesn’t like to be tagged in posts. If he wishes to comment then he will.Having said that he hasn’t posted on the community for quite a few weeks sadly.1

That's your decision to make, no one is forcing you to post asking questions. Mike is missed by some people but there's others here that also have great knowledge of the benefit system.

@AndrewHall thats not very nice to say there are lots of others who are very knowledgeable who give up their own time to relentless provide support to others. Mike has vast knowledge from a legal perspective I agree but please dont make comments like that about others3

I can only take your comment as an insult to myself and others that spend so much of their valued time here trying their best to advise others, with the knowledge they have.I have never disagreed that Mike doesn't have a huge amount of knowledge but at the moment sadly, he's not here to give any advice.4

Apologies, I was about to head into a meeting so took the decision to close this until I could respond.
As mentioned by Poppy @AndrewHall, Mike does request that users refrain from tagging him. I recognise you may not have been aware of that in the first instance which is fine, however if possible I would appreciate it if we could respect his preference.
Aside from that, of course it is your decision whether or not you want to accept the advice or support provided by other users, although it is worth keeping in mind the time given by others to answering threads on the community, whether it be to share advice or just supportive comments. We want our community to be a safe and supportive place, please make sure your messages respect others’ views and suggestions, even if you do not agree with them. Words read through an online forum don't always convey meaning in the way that is intended, so it's always best to be mindful.
This thread will now be re-opened and it would be great if we could remain on the subject described in the opening post.
@AndrewHall, when you say "reference" what do you mean exactly? Are you looking for thoughts on what the UT will say regarding the religious requirement you mentioned in your post?

I see, thanks for that @calcotti, I appreciate the clarification. It does seem like a complex one, I do think they should take it into account in order to be as inclusive as possible and considerate of the diverse range of people who claim, but I appreciate that there are several strands to the subject.
@AndrewHall have you considered seeking some professional advice for this query, for example through your local Welfare Rights or by entering your postcode into Advice Local.
