HI, I uploaded my first sick note to job centre in June last year was sent an assessment form to fill in in August, had a telephone assessment call on March 7th this year, attended job centre next day and was told I was found to have limited capacity for work and work related activity (due to depression and anxiety), received confirmation in my journal on March 15th. My question is, what is deemed first evidence of disability, first sick note or the assessor's receipt of my assessment form? thank you in advance for your help

First reporting of your health condition. The LCWRA element should therefore be payable from October or November, depending on exact dates.0

Hello @Dorie I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question, so I can advise you directly, but I've marked this post as unanswered so hopefully our members can help clarify for you.

That means you sent your fit note in AP 2nd July to 1st August. Your waiting period will be Aug/Sept, Sept/Oct, Oct/Nov. LCWRA payable from AP 2nd Nov to 1st Dec, first payment is 8th December.

I'm assuming it will be backdated, will that be paid before or on my next payment due 8th April?

It can take a while to sort out the arrears payment, which will be paid separately from your normal payment. UC will recalculate your previous monthly entitlement and then compare it with what they paid you in order to work out what is owed. Note taht when they do this your previous monthly statements will be overwritten with the new ones so if you want a record you should download those now.Dorie said:I'm assuming it will be backdated, will that be paid before or on my next payment due 8th April?0 -
You will receive the LCWRA element in your next payment. The money that’s owed will be paid separately. It often takes a few weeks for them to pay this. They first have to recalculate your past statements so they can work out exactly how much they owe you.1
