Hi, So I put my first fit note on 31st oct 2020 on my journal and it got accepted on 2nd nov 2020. Since then I have been putting fit notes on my journal however I have a few days in between months where A fit note doesn’t cover them days.
On the 22nd march 2022 i got accepted for lcwra. A couple of days later a work coach followed up a appointment which was booked weeks ago and said i have been awarded for 25 months and i should be entitled to some money.
In the journal letter it says ive been rewarded lcwra And any extra money will be rewarded after 3 months from providing medical evidence.

And if they owe me back dated money they will put it on my journal within 7 days.
My uc money goes in every 16th day of the month so as I provided a fit note on 31st oct 2020 should i receive the £343 this month?
Also will i be entitled to any back dated money or will me not covering a few days every couple of months impact this?
When will i find out any more information?

You should get the extra money in your next payment.
The gaps in your Fit Notes may affect whether you get the full arrears. If it doesn’t you will be entitled to the extra money from the payment in March 2021. Any arrears will be paid separately. UC will upload new statements to your journal, these will be overwrite the old ones so, if you want a record, you should take copies of the old statements now. The process may take longer than 7 days.0 -
thank you for replying to my question. My uc payment is 16th so you think i should get it then?
as for if they don’t back date it is there a chance for appeal as I struggle with mental health and couldn’t phone and speak to somebody at the time of the gaps ( i have anxiety and depression ) this is the reason I have lcwra.
do you know people who have been backdated even though they have a couple of days to a week without fit note. Once i have a fit note is usually covered me for 2-3 months.

Only a decision maker from DWP can decide whether to backdate the whole amount.
