Hello everyone
I have a few questions again I have recently done a few posts regarding Pip and the telephone assessment process
I just feel a little bit confused and I need a little bit more understanding if anybody could help that would be amazing
so I had my PIP telephone assessment on the 24th of March 2022
am I understand it can take eight weeks after the assessment for Pip to get back to me
I received a text today from DWP saying they have received my assessment report
and they will be in contact with me in 8 weeks
i’m a little bit confused because I thought it was eight weeks from when I had my telephone assessment
I think I may be misunderstanding is that another eight weeks I have to wait
and I’m just wondering maybe I might of got called for an audit
as nearly 4 weeks on and I’ve just recently only heard from Pip this afternoon
Any help or any advice would be much
Many thanks in

From the time they receive the report back it can take anything up to 12 weeks, sometimes longer for a decision. The 8 week guide would have been correct before Covid but backlogs increased it.If they received your report recently then yes it may have been in an audit and the decision can't be made until that's been returned.Either way, there's nothing more at all you can do until the decision's been made. I know it's stressful but please try to think of something else while you wait, otherwise it's going to seem like a very long time.1

@poppy123456 thank you so much for the explanation and explaining things to me clearly
just for more clarification I received a text from DWP today saying they received my report
so am I right to say my understanding is up to 12 weeks wait from now
Because I have been waiting nearly 4 weeks for my report to go to DWP
