Hi and welcome to the community
The average wait time is 10 months from start to finish so your claim has been dealt with quite quickly compared to some others
The wait for a decision is anything from 2 to 12 weeks the 8 weeks quoted is standard guidance0 -

Thanks for your post and what a great question you have asked too! Unfortunately, I don’t have experience with DWP. However, I can hear your frustrations with the long wait.
Please feel free to keep us in the loop. We are all here for you and you don’t have to face this, or anything else, alone if you don’t want to

Hello and welcome to the community @Vonny58, it's good to have you aboard.
You have waited quite a while it seems but unfortunately that length of wait is quite common at the moment. I hope that you do hear back soon though and you'll have to keep us updated about how you get on

Thank you for all the answers . It seems so many people are claiming pip now. It’s just a worrying time waiting0

It is one of the contributing factors to delays, there has indeed been an increase in the number of claims being made according to the statistics.Vonny58 said:Thank you for all the answers . It seems so many people are claiming pip now. It’s just a worrying time waiting0
