I've just started a new job,12 hour shifts,and it killing me,I am 63 years old and have ataxic cerebral palsy.Should I give up work?

    Welcome to the community, sorry to hear about what you are going through with your new job, 12 hour shifts sounds really tiring. 

    Have you discussed your concerns with your employer? You could talk with them about any reasonable adjustments they could put in place for you, to better enable you to carry out your role.

    I agree that 12 hour shifts would be hard for anyone of your age never mind with a health condition 

    You should as detailed above discuss possibilities reasonable adjustments maybe shorter shifts or less days . All you can do is ask in the first instance and see what the response is and take it from there
