Hi, I sent my first sick note in on 27th October 2021 and received my wca form in December, I sent that off and waiting for assessment, after waiting until April 2022 and heard nothing I phoned WCA myself and they gave me a phone assessment as I suffer with anxiety and cannot be around groups of people, I had the assessment on the 10th May so 16 days ago, with it being 8 months overall and still not hearing back I phoned UC today and asked if they recieved the report of the health assessor and they have said they have not so I phoned WCA again and they have said they sent the report on the 11th May. I just don't understand whats going on and the time frame of it all as its already been 8 months overall, the whole situation is making my anxiety 100% worse. How long is the wait to jear back as I just got told a couple of weeks after assessment. Thankyou.

It can be anything up tp 12 weeks. Although for UC it can be as soon as a week. Once a decision's been made they will upload the decision letter onto your journal.

Hello @kla1913 and welcome to the community, it's nice to see you join us.
Sorry to hear of the impact this process is having on your anxiety, do you have any coping techniques in place to help you manage it through times like this where it feels worse?I hope to see you getting involved more around the community. This is a very supportive and welcoming site to be a part of so I’m hopeful that you’ll find it to be a positive outlet. Feel free to have a look around and get involved wherever you’d like 😊 A few notable pages I’d recommend visiting would be:
- The virtual coffee lounge which is one of our categories, in which we play games and talk about general subjects such as hobbies and interests
- The recent discussions page, which shows an overview of everything happening across the community
- The categories page, which shows a full list of discussion groups on the community
If you have any questions at all then don’t hesitate to ask.

Hi @kla1913 I'm so sorry to hear how the delay in the assessment process is affecting your mental health. Unfortunately so many of our community members are reporting similar lengthy delays. Would you feel able to keep us updated and let us know when you do eventually get a decision from the DWP. Take care0
