This happened just now. I can’t make this up lol. I’m on a dating site. Just browsing. A guy that I had a conversation with a few years back tells me to call him. I call him (mind you it’s late at night .) So my voice is a little groggy. The guy is like, “why do you sound like a TS?” I have nothing against the LGBTQ community. But wow Im 100 % a woman why would you say something like that ? Then he ask me what part of town I live in. It’s pretty late. So I wasn’t letting him come over. He’s like “why did u call me?” Then he says “you’re not talking about anything.” Then hangs up in my face. Then he texted me and tells me to block him on the dating website. I guess I shouldn’t have called him so late. But he told me to…

Hi @golucky252 sorry you had to deal with that. I would say he doesn't sound too nice. I wouldn't tell people where you live until you get to know them better and always meet in a public place for safety.0

Hello @golucky252I'm sorry that you've had this experience.I know that you probably know this already and it can be easy to get caught in the moment but I would say next time to maybe not agree to call so quickly. Perhaps communicate via social media for a while first.I'm sorry that what he said to you was unkind.I hope you're feeling ok today?0

That sounds like an unpleasant experience @golucky252
If you don't feel comfortable talking to him again, it'd be worth considering blocking him just in case he tries to get back in touch.
As Leo_Aces has said, it can be worth waiting a little while before speaking to someone on the phone. This can allow you to get to know them, and what they're like a bit better.
I hope you have more luck in the future!1 -
