Hiya everyone.. I'm self employed and I have been sick for 2 months now. I sended sick notes to uc and I got a uc50 form to complete. Yesterday I got app for 28 june in jobcentre even my sick note is expiring on 30 june. What I should do? Is this normal? And how long I'll wait for the wca decision I have to give them more sick notes and still have to go on jobcentre on appointments? Thx in advance!!

Hi and welcome
You still need to attend appointments and provide continuous fit notes until you have had your work capability assessment and a decision has been made0 -
There is no end date to lcwra the date is just a recommendation for review timescale
The award stays in place until a reassessment has been done and a new decision made
Currently all reviews are suspended while they catch up with new claims0 -
LCWRA doesn’t automatically entitle you to a blue badge or a disabled bus pass.Barkingmad15 said:
Yes, sorry if it came across wrong, you are quite right & i do remeber my work coach telling me similiar. hence the issues with getting blue badges & bus passes renewedjaner1967 said:There is no end date to lcwra the date is just a recommendation for review timescale

Thank you for ur reply. I'll go on 28 hopefully after she will see me she will not ask again to go there. I don't know if ill be long term ill coz I have iih and both side of face paralysed. I'm barely talking as mu mouth is not doing the job anymore. As for the iih the diziness and vertigo is killing me. I cant handle anymore light or noise so I am kind of home stuck. Let's hope for the better . Thx again0

Blue badge renewals are dine by local council and usually done online so no 8ssues with renewal unless your not automatically entitled and need assessment
But nothing to do with lcwra more pip0 -
But your point wasn’t correct. PIP awards have end dates, LCWRA doesn’t.Barkingmad15 said:
I know. I am well aware of this. I am also eligible for PIP. i was merely trying to make a point.poppy123456 said:

It's not nit picking. it's an important difference. When incorrect information is posted it is helpful for it to be corrected. That doesn't imply any criticism of the original poster. The benefits system is very confusing and we all get things wrong sometimes.Barkingmad15 said:.. & already found a nitpicker

It is horrible to cant drink or eat proper. To cant breath proper. To have to repeat words few times. In the last 6 months 3 facial paralysis and iih discovered by mistake. So yea I hope I'll have a nice coach and to see that is a struggle for me to go out. Beside the vertigo and iih problems to have people staring at me coz my face is messed up one eye is bigger than another and so on. Thx for ur nice words. Hopefully will be ok.Barkingmad15 said:
That sounds dreadful & I really hope it goes well for you. My work coacj was a very nice lady & I hope you have a similar experience. Mine is upper back issues so I really struggle to get around some days, I guess in that respect I was lucky to have a really bad day when I had my appt. It's horrible saying that but sometimes people have to see how hard it is for you. Best of luck.Julyana said:Thank you for ur reply. Really? I am merely trying to help with some guidance. I am not an expert & I suspect you are not either. This is why I gave up on forums. I have been on here less than 24 hours & already found a nitpickerpoppy123456 said:

I wasn't nitpicking, I was merely pointing out that you weren't correct. If i hadn't have pointed this out then other members would have thought it was correct. I never claimed i was an expert. I've also got information incorrect in the past but i'm happy to be corrected when it does happen.

I don't see that i did anything wrong here, other than to correct the information you gave. You are correct that there are nicer ways of dealing with such situations but calling someone a nitpicker isn't one of them.
