For LCWRA it’s not about scoring points. Points are for LCW. Lots of people are found to have LCWRA without any problems at all and of course you don’t have to be practically dead.
It doesn’t help you when you keep reading all those bad stories.

I read on a fb thread that the dwp assessors are paid to give everyone 0 points and deliberately try to trip you up

Please stop reading those stories because what you read isn't correct.

I told her my daughter took me, yet near the end of assessment she asked me how I got thete
I'd already told her that.  Then she asked how long the journey took.  Well I don't know. Wasn't watching the clock
    What was that all about
    A trick question?

No, it wasn't a trick question.

There's a lot of member that have posted on here saying they were found to have LCWRA. In fact, a question that's often asked is "am i entitled to any backpay"
I'm in the Support Group for ESA (same as LCWRA) my daughter also claims UC which includes the LCWRA elementy. We are both very much alive.

I too am very much alive and get lcwrA

Your earlier questions poppy replied about when payments would be

If after the decision is made and yoy are awarded as long as you have had the 3 waiting periods then the payment should be in your next uc payment

Back pay if owed any can take several weeks and paid seperate

Please stop reading all the horror stories it won't help you

This might seem like a silly question, but if I am awarded it, do I have to go for regular assessment s to see if I still qualify? Say like every 3 months

Bless you @Amberpearl i think you need a break from all this worrying and over thinking darling.
Why don't you come to the virtual coffee lounge and join in with some of our chats or games.
    It's a great distraction.

they can reassess you as often as that but they don't usually. I think most people are reassessed every couple of years but reassessments aren't happening at the moment and there's a big backlog so won't be any time soon anyway <3
Oh I thought I'd be assessed every 3 months. I couldn't cope with that.
Would I still have to see my work coach and apply for jobs to keep. The money?

Not if you're found to have LCWRA. If you're found to have LCW you maybe expected to attend work focused interview to prepare to work in the future but you won't be expected to look for work. What wil be expected of you will depend on your claimant commiments.
If you're found fit for work then you wouldn be expected to look for work.

@poppy123456 think you meant if found fit for work would be expected to look for work and not wouldn't?

That sounds really tough @Amberpearl. Is there anything which usually helps this to feel more manageable for you?  :)
