When I was in school some years ago I was statement to 25 hows extra help due to learning disabilities. As iv also now a son who also has learning disabilities. I understand why I'm the way I am. It never dawned on my parents to claim any benefits for myself to help them out. As my disabilities to affect the way I cope day to day. Would I still be on the learning disabilities register and would I get the help I am seeking from pip. Any help would be greatful welcome..

You can see the descriptors for PIP here. https://pipinfo.net/ PIP isn't awarded based on any diagnosis. Whether you would qualify will totally depend on how your conditions affect you against the 12 PIP activities.
