1st claimed Universal Credit 28/1/21. Sent in sick notes till Assessment 6/12/21. Put in wrong category. Appealed via MR. DWP upheld. Been to Tribunal. If overturned, how far back will LWCRA group award be back dated?

Hello @Eastexchange
Welcome to the community, I hope you are wellThis is a very supportive and welcoming site to be a part of so I’m hopeful that you’ll find it to be a positive outlet. Feel free to have a look around and get involved wherever you’d like 😊 I have included below a few of the pages I’d recommend having a look through to get used to things:
- The virtual coffee lounge which is one of our categories, in which we play games and talk about general subjects such as hobbies and interests
- The recent discussions page, which shows an overview of everything happening across the community
- The categories page, which shows a full list of discussion groups on the community
If you have any questions at all then don’t hesitate to ask.
I have moved your thread over to our Universal Credit category and changed the title a bit

If found to have LCWRA then it should be backdated to when you reported your health condition. There's 3 full assessment periods of waiting time before the extra money is paid. It's then paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition. It will depend when exactly you reported your health condition and what date you usually receive your money each month.0

Ty, I had to give up work and go on U/C as my sick pay ran out. Sick notes till assessment ran concurrently with hip replacements, 1 of which failed. Still awaiting repair/replace op.0

Incidentally, my spine is shot, which I had PIP for at enhanced level for mobility with hip issues and reliant on wheelchair. U/C updated with new condition of cauda Equina but never put forward for LCWRA then either in Feb0

It sounds like you are going through a really tough time at the moment @Eastexchange. We are here for you and listening to you.
Is there anything we can do to help this feel more manageable for you at the moment? Hopefully, you will have the repair/replace op sooner rather than later!
