I'm glad you had a lovely day
How's the stiffness this morning? 0 -
@Tori_Scope
Thanks Tori still feeling my way on great site!
The aches and pains continued for three or four days until under control. But on reflection I shouldn’t be surprised as I did more activity than I have done for years. I had such a wonderful day with my son that I guess the excitement/adrenaline and feel good endorphins kept the pain at bay for the trip. But it’s so worth it to have a life affirming experience. Those without disabilities take things like car drives and walking for granted as I used too. However, I remain greatful for all the things I can do and empathise with those whose conditions are worse than mine.1 -
It sounds like you have quite a positive outlook on things @padraig
Is your son a positive source of support for you? 1 -
@Tori_Scope
Sorry only just seen this. Yes he is. I’m extremely lucky to have a very close bond with my son and he is always giving me positive feedback on my skills as a father and a human being. His mum decided yesterday to go back to Ireland with her niece to see her ageing parents. The trip would be too much for me right now, to get to a remote part of Donegal from London takes as long as flying to New York! As soon as he heard he put in for extended leave from his summer job from Uni and is coming home for six weeks!0 -
How lovely @Padraig
It sounds like you've been a positive influence on each other!
I didn't know it could take that long to get to parts of Ireland
