Hello, I got a message for LWRCA back payment saying they owe me around £1700, but in the statements they have included the standard allowance on top so totalling around £4000. Does this seem right? What shall I do??

Before they know exactly how much they owe you they recalculate your past statements. Once this is done they will be able to work out exactly what you should have received and what you’ve already received. The difference between the 2 is what they owe you. Therefore, yes it’s correct.0

Thank you. But it looks like I got paid extra on the UC statements.0

When they recalculate your previous periods of entitlement they put new statements in your journal. You will no longer be able to see the old statements (unless you previously made copies). The new statements show what they should have paid you for that month (not what you were paid).
They then deduct what they actually paid you in order to arrive at the difference, which is the amount you are owed.0 -
Okay, thank you.0
