From what I read on Headways website - everyone is entitled to a Personal Financial Account with adult services in the LA ?
I never had any REHAB after a TBI in 1990 - I was just patched up and, when I came around from my coma, was sent home - where I lived on my own.........
I am unsure even if my LA are aware of me - living with the long term results of a Head injury ?
I was wondering whether it is even worth me asking my LA for any advice/help - since they appear to be ignoring me totally (I was told by them - that they are busy at the moment and will arrange for an assessment at a later date) - I have savings of over the maximum level for financial help.

Your LA can't deny you a needs assessment but like a lot of other LA's there's a waiting list. I referred myself some weeks ago and had a call last week telling me there's a 6 month waiting list.As you have savings over the maximum amount you won't be entitled to any financial help with any care needs.0
