Hello everyone,
I was just wondering if you choose to volunteer will this affect your benefits if you are LCWRA on ESA

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Would it not contradict the claim?

In another thread you said you weren’t ready to return to any form of work, whether that’s paid or volunteering.Volunteering would come under permitted work when claiming ESA.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

It does make sense @sierrafox volunteering is a great way to build up experience and confidence, and to decide without any pressure if something is right for you
You would have to bear in mind that it comes up under permitted work when claiming ESA, but it's positive that you're looking into it.
What sort of volunteering might you like to do?Online Community Coordinator
