Pip video assessment next week. Any advice?

Having a pip video assessment next week for crohns, really nervous, any advice please

    P.i.p doesn't go off your condition it goes off how it affects you. I'm really glad I have see  your post. I have crohns disease and I'm on p.i.p but I'm currently waiting for my review to be looked at.. when I first applied, basically it didn't matter that I had crohns and all the things that come with having a crohns. I had to go off my mental health and the daily struggles I have with daily life due to having crohns

    I was awarded the basic level daily living and that was it. I got it for 2 year and now I'm on waiting to see if I have it again x

    Welcome to the community @livdot :) Thanks for joining, and for posting about your PIP claim.

    It's perfectly normal to feel nervous for your assessment, so you're certainly not alone in feeling the way you do. 

    Did you keep your forms? Some people find it helpful to read back through those before their assessment to remind them of what they wrote, and the evidence they provided.

    I'd encourage you to refresh yourself on the PIP descriptors (pipinfo.net) before the assessment too, as these are what they use to score you.

    Asides from that, I'd encourage you to make sure that you have a drink of water, and perhaps a snack with you during the call. Ensure that the device you're using is fully charged, and sit in a quiet place away from distractions if you can. You can have someone with your during the call for emotional support if that's something you'd find helpful, too.
