hello, I have just been awarded pip by text message last week but haven't received a payment yet or letter, when I ring pip it tells me ( answer message) that my payment is for £247 or something like that and will be paid on the 15th september each month but I thought i might get something sooner like the backpay owed maybe? as its only 22nd August today
any ideas? thanks

Money owed is paid first. 4 weeks later your first 4 weekly payment is made and will continue to be paid every 4 weeks.
£247 suggests a standard daily living award.
Your decision letter will explain everything to you.1 -
Hello there @nattyb and thanks for posting your query

Congratulations on being awarded PIP, how are you feeling about it all?
I hope your decision letter will arrive soon for you, but let us know if there's anything else we can help with in the meantime.
