hi all,
this may have been covered elsewhere but i have spastic diaplegia and have become increasingly aware of suffering from what i would term "brain fog" i.e. today i made a coffee left it in the kitchen and was 15 minutes into my work day (i work from home) before i realised i had left it in the kitchen. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi @Andrew_Hardman and welcome to the community It's great to see you starting a discussion of your own, and it's certainly an interesting topic.
I have CP spastic diplegia as well and sometimes I do get some brain fog, but I put it down to being overtired.
I've not spoken to a GP about it though- which is always advisable if you have particular concerns, or the brain fog is having a big impact on you day to day. There's nothing wrong with just talking things through.
Fatigue could be a trigger for the brain fog perhaps, and fatigue is something I experience as part of my CP, but I know everyone is different!
Did you make another cup of coffee in the end?Online Community Coordinator

Hi @Andrew_Hardman
I do this all of the time! Cups of tea, putting clothes in the washer and not turning the machine on etc, etc,
As my colleague @Alex_Scope has suggested, it could be down to fatigue, general tiredness, or just a case of being preoccupied and thinking too many steps ahead. Something that I'm guilty of at times.
If this is concerning you and is happening more frequently though, have a chat with your G.P.

hi both,
apologies for not responding sooner - i was on leace with no access to a computer and work got in the way of replying
Thanks for the above nice to know it might just be a cerebral palsy "thing" - it was in the middle of the heatwave so that never does me any favours with loss of muscle tone etc.... and alex in answer to your question i managed to save the coffee i had made originally as i have a thermos mug -
Are you feeling a little better now that it's cooled down a bit @Andrew_Hardman?
And there's no need to apologise at all. It's good to hear from you -
I'm glad you saved your coffee @Andrew_Hardman where would we be without thermos mugs?
I hope you are feeling better now the temperature is a bit more reasonable!Online Community Coordinator
