Hi, Today I was awarded pip after months of worry I be refused. Although the telephone assessment was very stressful I am so glad to have this news.

It was 5 months in total from the telephone assessment. It is good to keep a copy of your written application as they continue refer to it on the phone

I think the doctor letter support my claim help as well. I also took a photo of all medication prescribe and over counter I take in one week and printed that off to send with application

Receive the pip you got text is really quite stressful I am finding. I keep thinking it could be sent out in error. I wish there was a way to log on and instantly see the reward given.I keep checking my account and nothing then I start thinking this is a mistake. I read online this has happen to people so it's made me more on edge now.

I like to thank you all for your kind words. I am so happy to receive the pip award but I do regret now not appealing 4 years ago. When I first applied in 2018 I attended a face to face meeting and I was made to feel I was making my condition of osteoarthritis sound worse. The whole experience put me off appealing I felt embarrassed and ashamed leaving the centre that day . So I hope people do appeal any decision I wish I not hide away from it now.
