…Oh I do like to be by the sea!
Ok, the question is how far are you from the nearest beach? 🏖
The closest beach from here is 2.5 hours away 🙁 boo hoo…
I do love a beach walk 😀😆

I'm about an hour away one of my goals is to live near the coast
Hoping to retire to Spain or Cyprus in next 10 years -
I'd say about 8 miles to my nearest beach. Love the beach during daytime; but sea freaks me out at night time. Don't mind looking at it from afar like the picture above but couldn't stand on a boardwalk and look out to sea. . .too spooky and sinister!!!!

About 10 miles.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
we are about twenty minutes away, we often share a bag of chips and eat them in the car looking out to sea

I used to live about 25 minutes from the beach, but now I live 1hr and 25 away.
I do however live very close to a river and a canal, about 5 minutes walk. I find being close to water and nature to be very soothing, definitely good for reliving any stress I'm feelingOnline Community Coordinator

A fun little fact
I believe it is correct but may be wrong, it was on QI and I know they have got things wrong before...
I live in the only county in the country that does not border another county with a beach.
i.e. I am in the only county in the country where you have to drive through 2 other counties before you get to a beach.
I wonder if anyone can guess which it is? -
My brain not working great today @66Mustang can't give you an answer unless i find a map ha ha xx

No not Rutland
I've just had a look and seems there is at least one other county that is 2 counties away from the coast so I think the fact was probably wrong.
I am Bedfordshire -
Ahh I should have known, that's interesting @66Mustang I wonder what the others are?Online Community Coordinator
