I recently pulled into a McDonalds I'd never visited previously, where the car park was run by ParkingEye.  They allow 2 hrs free parking, PCNs thereafter.  If they are saying that up to 2hrs is what an able customer needs, should they not acknowledge that disabled customers might need longer - a "reasonable adjustment", as required by law?

    As a Blue badge holder myself, when parking in car parks i always check how long the maximum stay is. Just because we are BB holders it doesn't mean we can stay longer than the time stated.
    I can't imagine needing to stay longer at McDonalds, unless of course you're using their car park for something other than McDonalds. I don't think RA's are considered here.

    There's an unfounded implication here that I was abusing the rules.  I was not. Firstly, you have wrongly assumed I called for a takeaway. It had a seating area and I decided to eat in. In addition, 1) It took me a while to find a suitable car parking space 2) Once inside, I had to wait until a table I could access became available. 3) It was the first time I had used the touch-screen ordering system 4) The service was unusually slow.
    When it arrived, I ate my food and left.  I must confess, I did not consider staggering out to the car on my 2 sticks & driving up the road to finish the remains of my meal when the 2 hours were up.

    Someone obviously thinks fully able people might need 2 hours, so it is not unreasonable to expect disabled people to need a bit longer - a reasonable adjustment incurring no inconvenience or cost to anyone.  That's what I thought achieving equality was all about.
