Hi there, my PIP claim should be up for review , last time i recieved the review forms 6 months prior to my claim ending. My current claim expires Jan 22nd 23 my anxiety is through the roof.

I read there is a backlog of 324,000 and have been given exsisting claiments 12 month extensions 35 days prior to expiry date.last review i was notified 6 months prior.im starting to get really worried my bus pass also expires on the same date, is this information accurate?

If you were awarded by DWP and not by a Tribunal then you should have received the forms by now. The extension is being given because reviews are taking inexcess of several months. We have members here that have waited a year for their decision.
If you were awarded by a Tribunal they usually contact you about 14 weeks before. I have no idea if all awards are extended for those.

the 327,000 backlog is new claiments under review alone.its computer generated the review process so i should have been contacted and sent the forms automaticly unless they have suspended this until they get through the backlogs.i read a statement saying they will be sending out 12 month extensions from October 31st by text and in writing (award letter)

    28. DWP has seen an unprecedented increase in the volume of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) new claims and is currently prioritising assessing new claims.

    29. To ensure that claims awaiting review do not go out of payment we have been extending them 28 days before their end date by three months. DWP is planning to automatically extend existing claims awaiting review by up to 12 months and will do this 35 days before their end date.
