Question about LCWRA

Good evening, guys.
just want to say a massive thank to everyone for being so supportive and welcoming. It has been really appreciated.
So, I have been awarded LCWRA. I phoned UC and was told that I had been awarded from May (this is when I started the Work Capability process and provided my Fit Note)
I left a message in my journal querying whether I would receive back payment and querying when first payment would be. I was told I would not receive pack-payment and that my first payment should be this month. Is this correct?
Thank you in advance,
Gemma x

What date exactly did you send your first fit note and what date do you usually receive your payment each month?
Without knowing these it would be either September or October. There’s a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month.0 -
Thank you.My Fit Note was accepted 19/5 and I usually get paid 21st of every month.0

Thanks. That means your waiting period will be June to September. LCWRA starts from assessment period 16th September to 15th October and first payment will be 21st October. You have been advised correctly and no LCWRA element is owed. This is because it’s not paid at all during the waiting period.0

Thanks so much for clarification.0
