Hi Uphar.  I see that you've also mentioned that your son is not talking either.  My own son cannot walk (a few steps with support) and so uses a powered wheelchair or gets pushed when necessary.  He also cannot talk and so uses either a computer based communication aid, or a spelling sheet.  He went to mainstream school and is now at University.  I am not saying this to boast, but to illustrate what can be possible even for someone who needs a wheelchair and who cannot talk.  Personally I think that getting some communication in place is actually more important than walking, and especially so for going to school.  If you haven't got a speech and language therapist then you should ask for a referral as soon as possible and you will also find some useful information here www.communicationmatters.org.uk.  I do understand what a lot you will have to think about and how hard that can be and so you might also find some good support from www.1voice.info.  They provide networking & suport to  families with a child or young person who can't use regular speech and so uses Alternative & augmentative communication (AAC)  they also have a FB group which can be very useful.  best wishes, Jenny
