Confused - decision text??

Hi all.
So I got the text last Friday saying they still hadn’t made a decision and then today around 4pm I called the PIP number(I’m super anxious and struggling to wait for decision) and they said that the decision was made this morning and that they are going to give me the award which I’m so happy about. She told me what I’ll be getting too.
My question is how comes I havnt received the ‘decision text’ yet when they have decided this morning.
Does it usually take 24 hours or something after DWP make the decision to get the decision text?

Thankyou very much, I am so happy with the result. It was just a bit worrying as the lady on the phone said “I’m not too sure why you havnt got the text” so I was a bit like oh gosh why if they’re wrong and I havnt been awarded.Queenv27 said:

I have no idea how they were able to tell you that because usually it takes 24 hours for them to be able to see the decision.

I really have no idea. I know that they do send texts to those that have been awarded but whether they send them to everyone that's awarded is another thing.

Hi guys just so you know I received the award text message this morning. 24 hours after they made the decision. So I did infact get a result over the phone a matter of hours after they had made a decision and before I even got the decision text. She was right about my award.Turns out they can tell you before the 24 hours on occasion!0

I did recieve a text telling me I had been awarded, but someone I know was awarded and they didn't,.so it's hit and miss really.alexcw said:
