extra payments are also coming: £900 for those on means-tested benefits, £300 for pensioner households and £150 for those on disability benefits.

Hi , Just what I expected unfortunately & as a new pensioner I would still be better off on UC / LCWRA as they have been stopped.
Getting Housing / Council tax relief is not easy & hoping for a positive outcome !.
Sorry about moaning but got it off my chest......Lachie

I don't understand how that's possible. Standard element and LCWRA element is £689/month.
You said your State pension is £185/week, as a monthly payment that is £801.66. Have you claimed housing benefit and council tax reduction from your Local Authority?

@Sandy_123 yes she spoke very well indeed. I just don't see labour or anyone else doing any better than whats on the table at this moment in time(10.1% rise and added cost of living seems fair). It's all talk just to get in power.

Hi Poppy , You're correct about the Pension being better & I have applied for Housing / Council tax but still waiting on the outcome which I hope should be OK .
    I'm just a worrier I suppose about the delay etc.......cheers .

It sounds positive that you have applied for housing / council tax @Lachie. How are you feeling about waiting on the outcome at the moment?
