Hy I hope everyone is doing well:)I need some help regarding carer element
I’m on universal credit and want to know if I’m eligible for carer element as I look after my autistic child and I don’t want to effect my uc because then it’s so stressful to sort out everything again as before without knowing I have applied for carer allowance and it has affected my uc after that I have stopped carer allowance now I don’t want to make any mistake because my work coach doesn’t know anything at all he was the one told me to apply carer allowance and said it’s not gonna effect but after that it was a lot of stress please guide me if I can make claim for carer element or not
kind regards

In another thread quite sometime ago you said you were awarded LCWRA, if this is still correct then as biblioklept advise,
you won’t be able to claim carers element at the same time. Are you claiming UC with a partner?0 -
Yes I’m still getting lcwra and not with partner anymore he has moved out0

As you are getting LCWRA element you cannot be paid the carer element, as explained in your previous thread.0
