Good afternoon, well my day is going ok, just looking around my house for draughty areas and blocking them as trying to keep busy due to awaiting a PIP hearing at my local court so keeping busy to reduce my anxiety 😥 Later today will be having coal fire as it is so relaxing and helps reduce my stress and anxiety.1

I have a leaking hot water tap on my bath. Simple job, turn off isolation valve and replace tap washer...not so, the isolation valve doesn’t work and the dripping tap got worse. I’ve phoned three plumbers and not heard back from any of them. More bills to look forward to and I’ve just paid out to have my blocked gutters emptied after an overflow caused a leak in my canopy roof and a nasty brown stain appeared on my lounge ceiling. My house is over a hundred years old and is falling apart! Yikes! Even the front door won’t unlock from the outside recently!
Perhaps it’s trying to tell me something0 -
Quite so @janer1967, I’m expecting the plumbing to cost around £200, when all it really needed was a new rubber washer which costs around twenty pence!
just had my brakes done too, lots of smallish bills just before Christmas and an mot to look forward to straight after. ☹️
Thanks @Teddybear12, we live in hope.1 -
Hope you get it sorted @leecal
