WCA are not usually done in 2 parts. Sometimes they may ring back to ask further questions if they didn't get enough evidence the first time but it's rare they do this. Not sure how they wouldn't know when you'll be contacted again because the assessor doesn't make that decision only a decision maker can do that.0

The work capability assessment isn't in 2 parts at all. Are you sure it was this assessment you had today and it wasn't just someone from your local Job centre that rang you?The number that rang you today wasn't someone from the health assessment providers. I believe they usually ring from a withheld number. The Health Assessment Advisory Service will be doing your WCA.When an appointment becomes available for your WCA they will contact you by letter and then send text reminders, if they have a mobile number for you. This link here will give you more information. It says ESA but the WCA for UC is exactly the same. https://chdauk.co.uk/your-assessment/types-of-assessments/employment-and-support-allowance-esa/

Thinking about this a little more, i think i know what she meant by "the assessment is in 2 parts" What she probably meant was the form you filled in was indeed in 2 parts. The first part is aimed more to those with mental health/ASD/cognitive issues/learning disabilities etc etc.The 2nd part of the form is for those with physical conditions (getting/moving around)The assessment itself which you had today is not in 2 parts, it's one assessment. Once the report has been written it will be returned to DWP and a decision maker will then look at that, as well as all the evidence you sent and your WCA form and then make a decision.Once the decision is made a letter will be uploaded onto your journal, if you have access to one. A decision can take up to about 12 weeks but often when claiming UC it's made sooner than that.0

They don't have to ask you about all of your conditions during the assessment. They will only ask you questions if they don't have enough of information.0
